Materials & Tolerances.
We machine and forge the hardest materials on earth. Below is a breakdown of our capabilities and the exotic alloys we process daily.
Machining Tolerances
Our 5-axis CNC centers and Swiss lathes can hold the following tolerances across different material classes.
| Material Class | Standard Tolerance | Precision Tolerance | Surface Finish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Structural Steel (A36) | ±0.005" | ±0.002" | 125 Ra |
| Stainless Steel (316L) | ±0.002" | ±0.0005" | 63 Ra |
| Aluminum (7075-T6) | ±0.002" | ±0.0005" | 63 Ra |
| Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) | ±0.001" | ±0.0002" | 32 Ra |
| Inconel (718) | ±0.001" | ±0.0001" | 16 Ra |
Exotic Alloys
We hold a domestic supply of raw stock for the following materials. No foreign imports.
Titanium
Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5), Ti-6Al-4V ELI (Grade 23). Used for aerospace airframes and medical implants.
Inconel
Inconel 718, Inconel 625. High-temperature superalloys for jet engines and rocket components.
Armor Steel
MIL-DTL-46100, MIL-DTL-12560. Rolled homogeneous armor (RHA) for ballistic protection.
